“Of course, he still claims he was framed, and that the prosecution tried to railroad him into admitting he was guilty,” Charlie smirked.
“Well, he is guilty. He’s a murderer. The evidence proved it and the jury agreed,” I answered, as Lucky meowed and I poured him a little milk.
“It is for now, but that could change. A little bird tells me his team are preparing an appeal as we speak.”
“Charlie, why are you so invested in the case? I was the witness, and I’m over it.”
“I’m just a concerned citizen who likes to see justice dealt.”

What is a Drabble?
Most flash fiction is identified as stories under 1000 words. Many short-form publications require you to stay under 150 words. A drabble is a short fiction story of exactly 100 words.
I find drabbles to be an excellent exercise in keeping your writing tight because it forces you to discard any unnecessary words.
