An excellent article, Leonard and you ask valid questions. We do become attached to others online who, as you say "are in our tribe." It is always concerning if they just leave suddenly without a goodbye. I have known a couple of online friends who disappeared, only to find out they had passed away suddenly. That is always sad to hear.
