Firstly, well done on your literary achievements for September. Like you, I usually try to keep everything I write under a five minute read. With poetry it is easy, articles and fiction - not so much.

The important thing here, if the piece is longer, is to get the reader in so they start reading it. Some see 8 minutes, 11 minutes etc… and won’t look any further, but others may be attracted to the title or sub-title just enough to wade into the water.

That’s when you need to drag them in and submerge them into your great writing, so time flies by and they don’t even realise how long they have been reading.
Your writing is always engaging, so you are capable of doing that.
