Good luck on Substack, Tracy. I too am a freelance writer, and was averaging at least one new order every day … until Chat GPT and the rise of AI. In the whole of last year I probably had a dozen orders, and nothing at all for the last three months.

Medium was helping to counteract that, and I was making about half of what I previously had been as a freelancer. Now since, January that has dried up to virtually nothing …. It may pay for my coffee per month and that’s it.
