I agree with you, Bella. I have the same mindset, as many of these writers you mention do not even respond to comments…that is the killer for me. If they don’t acknowledge the time I have taken to read them then I will stop reading them. I do know a couple of popular writers who don’t follow anyone … but they do always reply to and acknowledge their readers, and read and comment on others articles. That is important.
