I am not exactly sure how the algorithm works there but you are paid a percentage from advertising via impressions on your articles. Going on my figures of the last 30 days I have earned approx. $1 US per 600 views. However, I have over 600 articles there and only 138 non Medium and am currently earning twice as much here as there. But, I write mainly poetry and it doesn't do as well as say "how to" articles. You can advertise relevant Amazon products on your articles if you can demonstrate you have actually used them or they are essential to the article, and get paid a percentage of any sales.

You need to accumulate $50 in earnings before you are paid each time, unlike Medium.
