I am sending infinite positive vibes your way, Brenda. Win that Powerball…win the Powerball! We have one here too, but the biggest prize so far has been $40 million.
I love this piece by the way, and you are right that thinking positive can affect outcomes.
I once wrote this poem about it called “I Laughed a Smile.”

Even the smallest, seemingly insignificant things that we do, like a smile, can actually have a dramatic effect on not just our family and friends, but the world.

I Laughed A Smile

I laughed a smile into the air
It floated down but who knows where,
Perhaps onto another's face
In some war-ravaged, distant place.

Or onto someone so depressed
Who's overcome with grief or stress,
Needing a spiritual uplift.
My smile landed upon their lips.

Maybe somewhere a sleeping child
Was 'midst a pleasant dream and smiled,
Or some old man about to pass
Had smiled and made a breathless gasp.

Perhaps he sighed a final prayer
Which floated gently in the air,
And drifted 'round the world, so wild,
To gently wake the sleeping child.
