I can relate to almost every word. People ask what I do and are usually surprised by my answer “writer.” Oh, they are usually polite and ask what I write etc. but is as though they have never met a writer before.
My wife is very supportive, like you, and lets me spend hours at my desk…however when she does interrupt and want me to do something it is usually at the most inconvenient time..in the middle of a thought process etc. Though, sometimes she does take the time to discuss my writing and occasionally offers helpful suggestions if I am stuck.
