I can relate to this. My father bought me an old typewriter and I thought it the best gift I ever received. I wrote my first poems on that … complete with many typos. I kept that for years, and still used it despite some keys no longer working or getting stuck.

I enjoyed reading your progress to computer. I have never tried dictation. Maybe I should.
