I could have highlighted this entire piece, Theodore. It is so powerful, poignant, and sad. We see the homeless without imagining they weren’t always that way … many were successful and had once happy lives … just like us. But life is not always kind. We all need to look for that flower rising between the cracks in its determination to survive.
