I enjoyed this piece very much and can relate. I always loved writing hand-written letters, of love and other things. My handwriting was always very good so it was always my job to write in the greeting cards etc. as well. I often wrote letters to my wife (who also has mental and physical challenges) but haven't done that in a while, replacing them with poems. As a freelance writer, I sometimes get hired to write love letters for people I don't know.
