I have also been the carer for my wife for around 18 years, at times it has been frustrated that we can't do many things we dreamed of. We used to say, "When the kids grow up/leave home we will do this go there.." but by then it was too late. Still, we do as much as we can together, such as going on a cruise. Knowing it is our separate karmas that would have happened to us anyway helps.
