I have had quite a few recently…clones of people I follow, replying to comments I made on their stories maybe two weeks old…always saying something like “great response. Join the Medium writers union on telegram etc.” They are easy to spot…wrong spelling of name, and no stories or followers on profile. I always report them immediately.
No doubt they will become better and more sophisticated, but they are still pretty dumb so far.
