I love hearing how writing sets you apart from your successful friends and makes them envious of what it gives you, Nour. When you are a writer you become more attune to noticing things around you that non-writers don’t. You spend more time contemplating and coming up with answers and ideas.
Being a writer generally doesn’t pay well, directly, compared to most jobs (unless you are a famous author) but it can have many benefits in the long run, and expand your network far more than it may otherwise be.
As you say, it also allows you time to relax, destress, and communicate with a group of like minded people and friends who appreciate you and the insights and knowledge you provide.
