I loved this rant, Steve. Rejection used to be my middle name … though at least most editors were polite. They’d usually say something like, “Thanks for submitting your poem. We liked it a lot, it just wasn’t exactly what we were looking for for this edition of the magazine, but we encourage you to submit other work in the future.”
If you can’t handle rejection, the best advice is don’t submit anything.
