“What do you intend doing when you leave here?” Charlie asked, actually showing concern. “You know you can’t return to your old life. Once you join the witness protection program and are given a new identity, there is no going back.”

I looked at him, “But, I thought if Ramsay was convicted and sent to prison, that would all be over with.”

“No such luck, Sunshine. Think of all the work involved in reversing all the identity documents and records. It would be virtually impossible; besides he can still use contacts to take you out. I can’t wet nurse you!”

What is a Drabble?

Most flash fiction is identified as stories under 1000 words. Many short-form publications require you to stay under 150 words. A drabble is a short fiction story of exactly 100 words.

I find drabbles to be an excellent exercise in keeping your writing tight because it forces you to discard any unnecessary words.
