James, thank you for giving us some perspective on what the odds are of getting boosted. I used to be always hoping for a boost and in the last half of 2003 managed to get one boost every second month. But this year seems different as no boosts have come my way.

I won’t go looking for them and only know of a couple of publications I belong to having the capability. I write for mostly smaller publications. I did read one article whose author claimed to have had five boosts in one week (producing a screen shot to prove it) which I thought was quite unfair if it was indeed true.

I believe we should just endeavour to produce quality writing consistently (wherever we want) and if a boost finds us well and good. Love your images.
