Jessica, I had never heard of “dopamine detox” before, but it makes sense. I am the opposite in that I don’t have an addictive personality. I find it quite easy to go without most things or not to rely on them. That said, I do work better with my morning coffee/mocha. I like chocolate but if my wife buys me a chocolate bar it will last me a week, as I an happy with only a couple of bites/squares at a time.
I probably go two or three days without even checking my phone. I even sometimes forget to take it with me when I go out. Thank you for sharing this, and good luck giving up anything you want to.
