JoEllen, I have had similar feelings lately. I also told myself that as long as I was earning more than my membership fees that I would stay. Though my January earnings falling to just over $20 from an average of around $180 previously, was quite a shock, I have continued to write.
At first I began to write less, especially drabbles that seem to be my lowest earners … but then I thought why do that … I love writing, and I came here originally for the community not the money.
Fortunately things have improved a little and I am on track to reach $50 this month … touch wood. I am glad you found a good balance with your time management and decided not to step away.
