Laney, I hoped the days of political assassination attempts were long over, but sadly I worried something like this could happen with all the disunity and hatred occurring in recent times.

I am glad Donald Trump is okay, but sad for those killed and injured. I hope this doesn’t incite further violence or retaliation. You need a United country, not a divided one.
