Random word drabble 108: “night”
I transcribed the manuscript late into the night. These tales of murder Charlie had compiled were gripping and I had no choice but to read as I typed.
After ‘Death on a Plane’ I anxiously moved onto the next, wondering if the killer would be revealed later in the book.
The introduction stated that these were all true crimes, but there was no mention of how Charlie was involved or came to know all the minute details. For instance, how did he know Alastair McNeal had been murdered when the coroner listed the cause of death as simply “heart failure?”

What is a Drabble?
Most flash fiction is identified as stories under 1000 words. Many short-form publications require you to stay under 150 words. A drabble is a short fiction story of exactly 100 words.
I find drabbles to be an excellent exercise in keeping your writing tight because it forces you to discard any unnecessary words.
