“I have about a quarter of the book to go, then it’s all done. I have almost finished the chapter ‘Living Among the Dead.’ It’s hard to believe some of these were real murders.”
“Oh, they are real alright!” exclaimed Charlie. “What do you find hard to believe?”
“Well, in this particular murder, a politician was kidnapped and buried alive in a cemetery. But, you say his body has never been located, so how do you know this?”
Charlie grinned, “I can’t reveal my sources, but believe me, they are never wrong. Over half of all murders are still unsolved.”

What is a Drabble?
Most flash fiction is identified as stories under 1000 words. Many short-form publications require you to stay under 150 words. A drabble is a short fiction story of exactly 100 words.
I find drabbles to be an excellent exercise in keeping your writing tight because it forces you to discard any unnecessary words.
