Random word drabble 134: “meeting”

Charlie saw the doctor again, was told his eye looked good, and was given the all-clear to return home. But before he did, he had a meeting to attend to.

He walked into the police station and was greeted like an old friend. He answered the questions asking what happened to his eye, to get that out of the way, before sitting down with Sergent Mark Sloan.

“I don’t want to say you owe me one, Mark, so I won’t,” Charlie grinned. “But can you look up something on the computer for me. You have access that I don’t.”

My previous drabbles have been published at Fiction Shorts but as of 15th April that publication is no longer hosting drabbles written in serial form. For this reason, I am for now continuing to publish the remaining chapters of this story under my own name. I will however continue to use the random words issued by Nancy Oglesby each day.
