Mel, this is a wonderful teaser for your novel. There appear to be very subtle changes from the original, but I do agree the rewrite is even better.

My advice is to keep rewriting until you are confident it is the best you can make it. Otherwise, you won't be satisfied with the published book. Thanks for sharing.
