Misbah, you should be proud of both your writing and your work as creator and chief editor of this publication. I am humbled by the words you said about me, but I am proud to be your friend and colleague, and credit you for encouraging me to write regularly at Medium.

You don't deserve any derogatory and angry comments, but I guess that is what many editors have to deal with. I have seen other publication editors write similar things.

Most writers appreciate help to improve their work, but some have thin skins and hate to be told their work isn't perfect.

If they choose to write for a publication they are supposed to read the rules and requirements and agree to them beforehand. Many don't seem to bother. If they don't meet those it is their responsibility and they have no right to complain if an editor points those issues out to them, or denies publishing their piece if they don't make it comply.

I know at least two publications that I belong to that are stricter than the Hub Publication.
