…ot always be the best course of action. When someone deeply hurts you, the betrayal destroys trust. There is a concern that offering them a second opportunity may only enable them to harm you once more. In this situation, prioritizing self-preservation is obviously more important than forgiveness.

Much food for thought, Bella. Unfortunately, some people never change (even if they say they have) so if they hurt you once it is very possible they will do it again. Good poem.
