My Brain’s Exploding
At least that’s how it felt
Random word 169: “cells” (genre: humor)
“Oh what now?” I exclaimed, feeling as though the blast was my brain cells exploding, as I raced outside.
The Audi, the car the witness protection people had provided me, was now just a smouldering mess. Smoke and flames erupted from the blackened shell of what I thought to be a luxury vehicle.
Charlie appeared behind me holding Lucky, and startled me as he said nonchalantly, “There she blows!”
“It looks like I will have to give you a lift to the police station to give your statement, doesn’t it? That’s a shame, I kind of liked that flash car.”

Most of my previous drabbles have been published at Fiction Shorts but as I have fallen so far behind, I am publishing most now under my own profile. I am still using the daily random words kindly provided by Nancy Oglesby.
