Natalie, like you I remember always watching beauty pageants with my family, growing up. I have no idea why we did ... perhaps there was not much choice on TV at the time. We always used to compete to see who could predict the winner. I had watch enough to realize that Miss Venezuela almost always made the final cut (whether it was ten or six or whatever I can't remember) but I almost always chose Miss Venezuela. Now I know why they did so well.

I am pleased to say I have not watched a beauty pageant now for at least 30 years. I realize it is totally wrong that these are even still being held. Although Ted did make a good point. Thanks for sharing.
