Random word: 155: “credit”

“I have to give our favourite celebrity chef credit,” said Charlie. “He will go to any length to get his revenge.”

“I can’t believe his appeal was upheld, and he is out of prison and back living his luxury lifestyle. You’d think he’d be satisfied with that, and just leave us both be.”

“People like that need to win. They can’t handle anyone getting the better of them. By the way, have you still got mobile access on your phone? I need to access my manuscript.”

Meanwhile, Jamie Ramsay looked smug sipping a martini as he put down his phone.

Most of my previous drabbles have been published at Fiction Shorts but as I have fallen so far behind, I am publishing most now under my own profile. I am still using the daily random words kindly provided. I may or may not utilize the twist or genre depending on if it fits the story.

Occasionally, you’ll be asked to use a random word AND write the story in a randomly chosen genre. We’ll do this several times throughout June. (I will assign the genres as randomly as the words, I’ve written them on strips of paper and am pulling them out of a hat. Literally.) Nancy Oglesby
