Nour, you delivered some very tough truths in this piece. Some people my not like what they read, but as you say there are “writers” and there are “people who write.”

Honestly, writing is what I enjoy most in life. For half my life I just wrote for myself, and occasionally family. No one else read my scribblings. I never made a cent from it.

I do make money now, and I do appreciate that. However, if that income stream dried up I would still have to write. I put other things aside, get up early, or stay up late because I need to write.

I take a notebook and pen everywhere I go, because there will always be something that inspires me…like the rabbit in the Moon. What, you have never seen the rabbit? Well look at it again…with the eyes of a writer, and you will.
