It does seem very inconsistent and disrespectful to those the flag isn’t lowered, however I am embarrassed to say I don’t know how consistent it is in Australia. I have seen the flags lowered on things like Anzac Day and Remembrance Day, but other than that I really haven’t noticed. The way it is at the moment, it seems the flags may as well be kept at half mast …there is always something to mourn.
