Ozymaniam

I met a thespian from tinsel town,
Who said: A rock with carvings deep and bold,
Encircled by five stones, stands beside a road,
As if to guard some ancient secret told.

The carving shows a face of stern command,
Or is the face simply in my own mind?
Contempt revealed by sculptor’s skillful hand
That mocked the passions which the stone can’t hold.

And if the rock could speak its words would be:
“My name is Rock, Dwayne Johnson, Scorpion King:
Look on my works, no mortal can compare!
Each movie bears my name. Or so I say!”

Hark that colossal hunk, absent of hair,
The trees nearby in silence softly sway.
