Powerful imagery. All winters are not the same, and came can be especially harsh.

Polar storms are bashing my region. My lungs burn on the way to work each morning. We perceive winter as cold, but there’s a threshold when it becomes something else. Chilling to the bone doesn’t quite cut it. A winter that brings fire. You burn with the cold. It’s all-consuming.
