Some people just have a chip on there shoulder, and go out of their way to find racist or politically incorrect statements in everything. I couldn’t see anything wrong with anything you said.

Last year during ‘Black History Month’ I was hired to write brief poetical biographies of some successful African American women. I researched their lives and found that one began life as a slave, but eventually started a successful cosmetics empire.

The client asked me to rewrite the piece leaving out all reference to slavery. Even though that made her story and her success even more powerful, they did not want to”slavery” mentioned. It seems they want to completely ignore unpleasant parts of history.
