Stephen, I agree with everything you say. I stopped reading those type of stories within a couple of weeks of beginning to write on Medium.

They are mostly just click bait and offer the same old meaningless advice over and over. As you say many of those writers claim to be experts after only a couple of months of writing here, and you will probably find most of the article is just copied from elsewhere on the Internet.

I am more than happy with where I am now at Medium and being more successful really holds no appeal. I will just continue to write what interests and appeals to me, and hopefully my readers.
