Thank you for resharing this, Trisha. There is hope for us all. I used to take rejection letters personally and feel the publisher just had bad taste in poetry. They would say things like “I can see why your poems would appeal to people, but they aren’t perfect and we have high standards” lol. Well as far as I was concerned they could shove their standards where the sun don’t shine.
