Thank you for that comment, Benighted. I appreciate it. I have never been one to worry too much about bring perfect technically or in syllable count etc. I feel that can sometimes stifle the message and the creativity. For that reason, I have sometimes had my work rejected, as not being perfect.
I read the poem out loud to myself (and sometimes another) and if it sounds good to me and I am happy with the flow then that's good.
To feel the reader experience the emotions and message the poet is trying to convey is what is most important, and what makes one poet's work unique from others.
