Thank you for this article, Pamela. I cared for my mother for the last couple of years before she died. Then my wife had an accident at work and injured her back, then was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, hyperthyroidism etc.
So, I have now been her carer of over 15 years. At least she can still do a lot of things that doesn’t involve standing for long or walking. Most housework is too difficult for her, however, so I do most of that.
I do get time to myself to do my writing, and I make sure to get out and walk every day. Now and then I feel myself getting run down, but whenI feel that way I try to slow down and not do so much for a day or two. You offer good advice.
