Thank you, Mel. I am glad you enjoyed the serenity of my poem. Butcher Birds are amazing singers. Other black and white feathered friends the magpies sing well, but thy even outdo them. They can also become quite friendly, especially if you start feeding them.
The most amazing if our birds down under is the lyrebird, though. They can mimic almost any sound, all other birds, dogs barking, even chainsaws, and camera clicks.
