The Closing Act
A perfect evening
Random words: 144 baby; 145 cool; 146 act; 147 yellow
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the sea. The waves kissed the sand, and seagulls rode on the salty breeze.
“Isn’t it beautiful?” Joanne said, cradling their baby. The little one cooed, mesmerized by the colors.
“Definitely,” Craig replied, adjusting his sunglasses. “Evenings like this make everything feel right.”
They sat there, the little family, watching the sun go down. The baby’s tiny fingers reached for the sky, as if trying to touch the yellow orb.
A cool breeze, a precious child, a couple’s true love. It was like the closing act in a play.

Most of my previous drabbles have been published at Fiction Shorts but as I have fallen so far behind, I am publishing most now under my own profile. this one, in fact, is an attempt to catch up to some degree and I have included four of the random words kindly provided by Nancy Oglesby.
