Random Word Drabble #196: “Waver”: July 14th 2024
Twister/First Sentence: “Why make life harder for yourself?”
“Why make life harder for yourself?” said Charlie. Tell the cops the card had expired, and while playing tennis with Matt Tan, he asked if you could recommend a good gym. You gave him the card and told him to check it out. Ramsay must have acquired it when he murdered Tan. The police have no way of proving otherwise.”
My voice wavered, “I um.. guess that makes sense. But, this should be all over with by now. W..why did I ever go to that apartment building to meet Matt? How did you know about the gym card … connections?”
