This is an excellent article, Ammara. I think I joined HubPages in 2008 and have over 600 articles there. it was a great place to hone your online writing skills and a place to have your writing published. People can be successful there if they write the type of content popular with Google searches etc. but it isn't as good as it once was, and difficult for the average writer to make much money. Poetry and fiction for instance does much better on Medium, and though HubPages has forums, it is difficult to comment on other people's articles. I can make more money on Medium in a month than I make on HubPages in a year, but you can republish your work from HubPages here and not the other way around. Nothing on HubPages can be published anywhere else first.
