This is an interesting perspective, Adrian, and I can see your point. I, on the other hand, try to make sure my message is clear to the reader. Most of my poetry contains a message or lesson in some way. I never try to write to cause offence, but I don’t want my words misinterpreted either. Perhaps if I write a nonsense poem those lines a blurred a little.
