Top Writer Status
I had read quite a few articles recently where people were proudly announcing they had been awarded ‘top writer’ in various topics. I was feeling a little envious, especially of those who had reached that status numerous times in one niche, or even more impressively, managed it in more than one topic.
As I write mostly poetry, I wondered if I would ever be awarded a ‘top writer’ accolade in that field. Lo and behold! a few days later, there is an email from Medium congratulating me on just that.

I am not sure how long it takes to be highlighted on the ‘Poetry” topic page and profile, but it hasn’t happened yet as far as I can tell. I guess I need to be patient.
