But you were wrong that night in your car,
While it was true I had no expectations,
All common sense left me when you confessed.
You gave me hope, only to take it all away,
And so, before the song ended, even before the bridge,
Before the mark of four minutes fifty seconds,
You broke my heart because I let you.
