You state your point very clearly R C. Too many jump,on every get rich quick scheme they see. Being “boosted” is one of those. The trouble is boosts aren’t that easy to come by, and the scheme is open to cheating as well “who you know, not what you know.”

It is better to put your “nose to the grindstone” and work hard, writing quality articles and as often as possible. Now and then one of the pieces you least expect may receive a boost … and you probably won’t even know why or who chose to nominate it. So just be thankful the Medium gods chose to smile down on you, and get back to writing.

Yes, it is engagement and community that really counts here, and even if boosts didn’t exist, I am sure most of us would still be here.
